Friar's Head is not a town but a locality or place name.
In 1835 on MacKay map Friar's Head might have Included the area now Cape Le Moine, St. Joseph Du Moine, & Grand Etang as only Friar's Head is shown
on the map from Margaree Harbour to Cheticamp.
Cape le Moine was formerly a portion of Magre (1685), Marguerite (????), Margarento (1785), Margarie (1804) and finally Margaree(1880)
From Friar's Head (1835), Lower Margaree in 1880, to Whiskerville(????), to finally Cape Le Moine (1930????) named by Father Decoste from Quebec
to change a French community from Friar's Head to Cape le Moine.
Lower Margaree might have included Terre Noire and Belle Cote. Terre Noire was formerly Ruisseau Plat, Flat Brook.
Belle Cote(????) and Terre Noire(1805????) were formerly Easternside Margaree before they got their own Post Office.
